The deceased was identified as Jahangir, driver of ward councillor Nazrul Islam who was abducted and killed with five others.
The number of dead bodies recovered from the river has reached to seven since 6 bodies were found in the river yesterday,
Akter Morshed, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station told The Daily Star that police recovered the body from Shitalakkhya river around 6:30am.
The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Authorities deployed eight platoon Border Guards of Bangladesh (BGB) in Narayanganj to control the law and order situation.
Nazrul was burried at his family graveyard in Siddirganj after the second Namaz-e-Janaza. The Janaza was held at on Shimrail in Siddirganj around 11:14am.

The vehicular movement on Dhaka-Chittagong highway has started around 2:00pm, 22 hours after the supporters of Nazrul Islam blocked the highway in Mouchak and Signboard.
The bodies of Nazrul Islam and five others were found floating in the Shitalakkhya river Wednesday, three days after seven people, including Nazrul, were kidnapped in broad daylight in Narayanganj.
The six victims were killed and their bodies were dumped into the river in similar manner. The murderers cut the victims' bellies and then tied the bodies to sacks full of bricks before throwing into water, according to police.
They were blindfolded, and their hands and legs were tied with ropes, said law enforcers.
Police suspect the same gang was behind the abductions and the killings.
Among the dead are Chandan Sarkar, senior lawyer at Narayanganj District Judge's Court, and his driver Ibrahim.
Two other victims were identified as Nazrul's aides Moniruzzaman Swapan, local Jubo League activist, and Tajul Islam, president of Siddhirganj unit of Sheikh Russell Jatiya Shishu Kishore Parishad.

A total of eight platoons of BGB members were seen patrolling the metropolitan and Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
BGB headquarters information and public relations officer Mohsin Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said BGB has been deployed to help other law enforcement agencies to control the chaotic situation in the district.
The recovery sparked protest among the family members, relatives, and the locals. They poured onto Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet highways at 3:00pm Wednesday and blocked the roads.
Angry people set fire to tyres about 10 to 12 places of the roads, vandalized vehicles there, bringing a halt to traffic movement.
A tense situation is prevailing in the area, following the recovery of another body from Shitalakkhya River on Thursday morning.

Being informed from locals, police from Port Thana recovered the floating body of an unidentified man at 7:30am some four days after five persons had gone missing following adduction from the district court premises.
Now, the recovery of bodies from Shitalakkhya River had risen to seven.
Earlier on Wednesday, six bodies including the body of panel mayor Nazrul Islam were recovered from Shitalakkhya River.
On Sunday, miscreants in guise of the law enforcers abducted five persons along with Nazrul Islam, a Panel Mayor of NCC, from the district court premises.
Besides Nazrul, rests are Tajul, Swapan, Liton and the microbus driver.
Local sources said that the victims were kidnapped at gun point while they were preparing to return home appear after the court in the afternoon.
